Created by Wayne Goodman and produced by Full52 (Dave Forrest), Prism Stack is a system of memorising a deck of cards so can instantly recall an card at a given numerical position in the deck, and vice versa.
There are many stacked decks and resources for learning a memorised stack but none are as easy as the Prism Stack. In fact within 5 minutes of watching the DVD you will have this down, it really is that easy to do. There is almost no memory work, believe it or not?
The method is brilliantly simple and must have taken Wayne a long time to figure it all out. Thankfully Wayne has done all the hard work which is explained in detail on the DVD supplied. It also uses a regular deck of cards so you can set this up and use start using it straight away.
Several routines are taught on the DVD by Wayne and Dave and are very easy to do once you have learned the system. Wayne has even taken the principle a step further and created a diary effect and a mentalism routine using words written onto cards instead of regular playing cards. I have to say I really did like the mentalism routine, and personally I think this is the highlight of the DVD.
I would have liked to have seen a few more routines taught on the DVD but I’m sure you will making your own up once you have learned the stack.
The stack does have some limitations so you cannot do everything you can with other memorised deck systems, but if you are interested in this genre of card magic then I highly recommend you pick this up and give it a go.You won’t regret it!
Since posting this review, I have been informed that the basic stack concept originates from Lewis Jones and was first published his booklet ‘Cardiograms’. I am surprised that Lewis wasn’t credited on the DVD. I can only assume that this wasn’t known at the time(?).
